SERO was founded 1980
Purpose
SERO aims to promote the development of renewable energy, energy communities, and energy efficiency measures to contribute to sustainable development.
It achieves this by serving as a membership and collaborative organization for private individuals and legal entities.
The Association’s objectives are to:
- foster, promote, and develop collaborations within the field of renewable energy,
- contribute to the professional development and networking of its members,
- advocate for regulatory frameworks that promote renewable energy,
- disseminate knowledge and raise public awareness,
- collaborate with national and international authorities, institutions, and other organizations working towards renewable energy,
- encourage increased energy self-sufficiency,
- promote gender equality and equal opportunities.
Operations are advantageously conducted through local chapters or associations.
The Association is a non-partisan, non-governmental (NGO), and non-religious energy and environmental organization that operates as a non-profit association serving the public interest.
SERO shall promote the development of the renewable energy sector and energy efficiency, in order to contribute to sustainable development, by being a cooperation and membership organization for legal actors and private individuals as well as acting as a national organization for regional and local energy associations.
